Sepideh Sanaee (Sepi)

(Osteopathic Manual Practitioner)

Sepi graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy in 2020 with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP). In addition, she holds a Bachelor in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa in 2014 as well as a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from an Iranian university in 2008. Sepi started working as an Exercise Assistant before choosing to continue her education as a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner.

During her time as an Exercise Assistant, Sepi became a Certified Fitter for Bauerfeind Brace and Compression Stockings in 2017 as well as completed the Basic Life Support Course with the Heart & Stroke Foundation in 2018. In the same year, she attended a Concussion Management Workshop. More recently in 2020, Sepi became certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C, which was provided by the Red Cross. Her whole life, Sepi has naturally been drawn to helping and healing people, in many different forms. She is a people person and has very strong empathic abilities, thus she is very sensitive to people’s mood and their energy. This allows her to be able to “listen” to what they are trying to communicate through non-verbal methods of communication.

During her years as an Exercise Assistant, Sepi noticed how drawn the patients she worked with were to her. It was during these years that it really started to dawn on her that it was her path to work with people and that it needed to be in the field of health. In the clinic where she worked, she was inspired by the resident Osteopath to become one. After looking into the subject a little bit, she really resonated with the whole philosophy of using a holistic approach to treat health instead of just treating the symptoms, as so many other modalities do today. Sepi’s philosophy is that health comes from within and it is the job of the therapists to trigger this mechanism so the body’s natural ability to heal itself can occur unobstructed.
