Vanessa Bou Abdo

(Osteopathic Manual Practitioner)

Vanessa is an Osteopath with over 11 years of clinical experience in the prevention, assessment, and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and chronic spinal pain. She has studied Physiotherapy and hold a Master’s degree in Osteopathy from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, registered in more than 3 countries including Canada.

Vanessa’s approach is grounded in holistic diagnosis, integrating osteopathic techniques tailored specifically to each patient. She has developed a particular expertise in managing complex conditions such as fibromyalgia, jaw or (TMJ) disorders, postural syndromes, and chronic pain. She focus on helping patients return to daily activities and regain independence.

During her career, she has worked across diverse settings, including two years and a half in Kuwait where she closely worked with the powerlifting and strength training community. This gave her valuable insight into how repetitive loading, barbell training, and gym-related biomechanics impact the musculoskeletal system. Vanessa has also had the privilege of working with ambassadors and professionals from various cultural backgrounds, enriching both her clinical and human experience.

In addition to one-on-one patient care, Vanessa has led workshops on workplace ergonomics, posture correction, and injury prevention for office workers, dentists, physicians, and athletes. Since moving to Canada, she has found it inspiring to see how much people value body awareness and preventive care, which she believes are essential parts of the healing process.

Outside of her practice, Vanessa is a former ping pong school champion. She enjoys hiking, stand-up paddleboarding, and writing. She come from a big family who surrounded her with love and support, which has shaped her warm and supportive approach with patients.
