I found Expert Physio Plus 2 years ago when I was put on a list for knee replacement surgery and my doctor recommended the GLAD program to me while I was waiting. EPP was the only place that returned my call almost immediately and I started therapy there shortly after.

The care is intense. Everyone on the team plays a role in your therapy. The GLAD program there is surprisingly fun but pushes you to your limits and the results are amazing. I limped into EPP in the fall and walked out quite strong before Christmas. When my surgery was postponed in January, I decided to take up snowshoeing, and covered pretty impressive distances. Considering that before GLAD, I could hardly do short walks without intense pain, I was wondering if I needed surgery at all. I went ahead with it in the spring and went back to EPP for rehab. My knee now has an even better range of motion and strength than it did before. Because I was so strong going into surgery, my rehab was rapid. I credit the team at EPP with my great results.

The GLAD program here is very well done. Despite being in a group, your exercises are individualized based on what you’re able to do without pain. And the group dynamic pushes you to go further than you would alone and you laugh a lot. I’m a big fan of GLAD and would recommend it to anyone with joint pain or osteoarthritis. Often, we tend to think that with chronic pain, we need to rest and stay immobile, afraid to make it worse. But the opposite is true, GLAD works on strengthening the supporting muscles so that joints don’t experience as much stress. The results are impressive. I’m living proof that it can change your quality of life.

Mena is a hands-on therapist and uses various experts and a well-equipped gym to complement his treatments. He listened attentively and adjusted treatment on the spot based on my feedback. He provided exercises I could do at home as well. I came with a rather vague complaint, yet Mena and his team were able to narrow the problem down and eliminate it. Thank you all for your help.
